DAVID ARTHUR STEMPF, of Prague, Oklahoma, passed away to be with our Lord and Savior on July 12, 2023, at age 75, after a short battle with cancer.
David was born on September 5, 1947, in Fargo, North Dakota. He was a Purple Heart Medal recipient with Army service during the Vietnam War and Operation Desert Storm - Gulf War. He loved fishing, drinking coffee and talking about politics, playing slot machines, playing World of Warcraft, and his family.
David will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Evelyn (William) Stocker, granddaughter Amber (Andrew Christensen) Stempf, grandson William Stocker Jr., great-grandson Theodore Stempf, great-granddaughter Julia Bacon, sister Sandra (Jerry) Hood, sister Jeanette (Fred) Day, brother Thomas (Alice) Stempf, and numerous nieces and nephews.
David was preceded in death by his first wife Betty Josephine (Holcomb) Stempf and his second wife, Melody (Huddleston) Stempf. Also preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Mary (Tuebe) Stempf and his brother, James (Carol) Stempf.
Dave did not wish to have much fanfare about his passing and has requested private cremation services. He has simply requested that those that knew him should sit down over a cup of coffee and remember their experiences with him.
