Dale Roger Collins peacefully passed away in his home on July 3rd, 2022. Dale Roger Collins was born on September 26th, 1951, in El Reno, Oklahoma. Dale grew up in Oklahoma City, sharing lots of laughter and love with his sisters, Janee, Teri, Gayle, and his brother, Larry. He graduated from Capital Hill Highschool in 1969, and then was drafted into the United States Army on October 19th, 1970. He fought in the Vietnam War and received his honorable discharge on July 10th, 1972. A couple of months after returning home from the Army, he bought his first home in Oklahoma City. Dale married and became a father in 1980, and again in 1987. In 1990, Dale bought a home in Carney, Ok, where he raised his two children and lived the remainder of his life. He was a loving and supportive father, attending school events, and saving every award or trophy his children received. He was immensely proud of the lives his children made for themselves. He believed the greatest compliment a father could receive was for his children to grow up to be good people. In his retirement years, he enjoyed lots of laughs with his sisters, and talking with family, friends, and neighbors. He enjoyed art class and painting, cooking, reading, puzzles, and trips to Guy Rose Auction if the weather permitted it. He enjoyed helping others. It made him feel good to do so. When he became a grandfather, his favorite thing to do was to be a doting PaPa: toys, candy, games, pranks, jokes, and lots of love. Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Delbert and Joretta Collins; brother Larry Collins; nephew, J.D. Scott; and his grandparents, Florence and Nelson Collins. He is survived by his daughter, Amanda Guilbeaux and son-in-law, Wilson Guilbeaux of Yukon, Ok; son, Gary Collins and daughter-in-law, Lindsay Collins, and grandson Colton Collins of Terlton, Ok.; sisters, Gayle Scott of Tuttle, Ok, Janee Shipley of Moore, Ok, and Teri Bessenger of Moore, Ok; and many nieces and nephews.
