Dalbert Leon Thornhill

Dalbert Leon Thornhill departed this life on June 19, 2021 surrounded by family. Dalbert was born to Frances and Dalbert Thornhill on September 16, 1956 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Dalbert was a Stroud graduate. He married Tonie Place in October of 1978 in Davenport, OK. Dalbert was an extremely hard worker, he worked for many years at Schwan’s and then Lincoln Transportation and the last few years working at Highland. Dalbert enjoyed being outside especially hunting and fishing. He loved to tinker with things and was often even working with woods. Dalbert enjoyed being around his family. He was always helping someone if they needed it. In the words of his family, there was no better man. Dalbert will be greatly missed. Dalbert is survived by his wife of 42 years, Tonie Thornhill; son David Thornhill and wife Janin; his daughter Danie Thornhill – Hurlburt and husband Jacob; his grandchildren Serentiy Thornhill – Hurlburt, Hailey Thornhill, Hagen Thornhill, Camron Thornhill, Zeb Blancarte, Max Thornhill, and Baby Carter; his twin sister Alberta Pearson, sister Susan Fogle; as well as many extended family and friends. Dalbert is preceded in death by his parents and his son Dalbert “DJ" Thornhill Jr, his sisters Tonya Davis and Patty Clayton.
