Clyde Shaver was born on April 4, 1943, in Castle, Okfuskee County, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Thursday, April 18, 2013, at his home, at the age of 70. Clyde, the son of Jack and Tennie Shaver, was a resident of Okfuskee County most of his life. He graduated from Boley High School with the class of 1962. Clyde married Nilar J. Bell on January 13, 1995 in Oklahoma City. Clyde retired from General Motors following 16 years on the assembly line. He was a member of Goodwill Baptist Church where he was a Deacon, a volunteer fireman for the IXL fire department, and honorary mayor of IXL. Clyde was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters. Survivors include his wife, Nilar Shaver of the home; daughter, Sylvia Shaver of Oklahoma City; step-daughter, Annesia Allen of Oklahoma City; step-sons, Kerry Wallace and his wife Deborah of Oklahoma City; Robert Anderson, II, and his wife Kimie of Japan; brother and sister-in-law, Claude and Linda Shaver of Kansas City, KS; sisters, DeAndre Anderson and Lea Anderson. The Shaver family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 23, from 6:00 - 8:00 at Parks Brothers Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at 11:00 AM, at Amos Temple, CME in Boley. Interment will follow at Prairie Springs Cemetery.
