Clyde Edward Vansill

Clyde Edward Vansill was born on October 23, 1950, in Duncan, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Sunday, January 24, 2016, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, at the age of 65. Clyde, the son of Willie Edward “Ed” and Martha Lee (Loftis) Vansill, was a resident of Meeker. He graduated from high school in Augusta, KS. Clyde married Terry Denise Scott on July 31, 1973, in Vinita, Oklahoma. He worked as a welder for Independent Industries. Clyde enjoyed dominoes, fishing and hunting and watching football, especially the Minnesota Vikings. Clyde’s parents, granddaughter, Melissa, and niece, Amanda Jordan, preceded him in death. Survivors include: his wife of 42 years, Terry Vansill of the home; son, Clyde Wayland Vansill of Meeker; daughters, Lisa Lacy of Miami and Rita Carrier of Meeker; 6 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; brothers, Freddy, Kenny, David and Tony; sisters, Dinah, Sandy, Sheila, Jeannie and Pam; other family and friends. The Vansill family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 27, 2016, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Meeker. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at 2:00 PM, at Living Waters Church in Meeker are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
