Cleston Dwight 'Son' Hill was born on August 19, 1916, in Nellie, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Sunday, November 16, 2003 in Meeker, Oklahoma, at the age of 87. Dwight, the son of Rev. Archie Travis and Annie Porter Burns Hill, married Juanita McElvany on June 20, 1943, in Oklahoma City Oklahoma. They moved to Meeker in 1951 where they owned and operated Hill?s Conoco Station at 4 Corners. Dwight was a charter member of the Meeker Chamber of Commerce, served on the Meeker School Board for 15 years, a member of the Meeker City Planning Commission, a volunteer firefighter, a lifetime member of the Methodist Church, and was a loving husband and father. His parents preceded Dwight in death. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Juanita Hill of the home; 1 son & daughter-in-law, Rick & Vickie Hill of Oklahoma City, OK; 2 daughters & 1 son-in-law, Sondra Austin of Meeker, OK, Darlene & Keith Taylor of Midwest City, OK; 2 adopted families, Donnie, JoAnn, Jeff & Denise Johnson of Choctaw, OK, Rita, Bob, Robby & Cindy Ballard of Meeker, OK; 1 brother, Durwood Hill of Columbus, Nebraska; 1 sister, Evelyn Moss of Prague, OK; 8 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, November 18, 2003, 2:00 P.M., at the Morning Star Baptist Church in Meeker, Oklahoma, with Rev. Glen White officiating. Interment will follow at the Prague Cemetery in Prague, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
