Claude Levisay was born on October 31, 1925, in Payson, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Tuesday, November 7, 2006, at his home in Meeker, Oklahoma, at the age of 81. Claude, the son of Arthur and Fannie Radon Levisay, was a resident of Meeker, Oklahoma. He married Freda Patterson on November 30, 1946 in Sparks, Oklahoma. He attended Concord Grade School and graduated from Meeker High School in 1943.Claude lived and farmed near Payson until early 1949. He moved to Arkansas where he worked for a short time with his uncle on a construction project, the Bull Shoals Dam, and returned to the Payson area later that year and went to work at Tinker. In 1956, Claude built their home on 40 acres of the Levisay farm and operated a dairy with his son until 1971. He worked in the construction business for several years, building new homes and remodeling. Claude drove a school bus for Meeker Schools and then worked for a number of several years in maintenance. He retired in 1997. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Meeker and the Meeker Chamber of Commerce. Claude was preceded in death by his wife; parents; son, Calvin Levisay; brother, Walter Levisay; and sister, Lena Webb. Survivors include, daughters and sons in law, Susan and Dwain Brown, Meeker, Jean and Jerry Webb, Meeker, Marilyn and Johnnie Kimbley, Meeker; Grandchildren, Valerie McAnally, Meeker, Kevin Armitage, Stillwater, Eric and Tracie Brown, Wylie, Texas, Jason and Sara Webb, Jacksonville, Texas, Jeremy and Cara Webb, Jenks; Great grandchildren, Kiley and Erica McAnally, Meeker, Cole Armitage, Norman; Step- grandchildren, April and Steve Frazier, Jennifer and Jason Hessman; Step ? great grandchildren, Jamie McAnally, Derrick McAnally, Matt McAnally, Austin Frazier, Braden Frazier, and Tyler Hessman; sister, Pearle Kinnear, Pawnee; brother, Leo Levisay, Meeker; sisters- in- law, Billie Levisay, Shawnee, Carol Ward, Chandler; brothers ?in- law, Don Patterson, Chandler, Bill Patterson, Claremore; and many other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 10, 2006 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Meeker. The family wishes to thank the Prairie View Hospice Staff.
