Clarence Newton “Buck” Eastep was born in Savannah, Oklahoma on February 14, 1922 and departed this life in Paden, Oklahoma on July 24, 2009 at the age of 87. Buck was the son of Clarence Elmo and Edna Gertrude (Gardner) Eastep. He was married to Opal Maybelle Parker on September 28, 1941. She preceded him in death on June 6, 1997. Buck was a Veteran of World War II and retired from Tinker Air Force Base after working there over thirty years. He was also preceded in death by his parents, one son, Billy Ray Eastep, two brothers, one sister and one great great-grandson. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Cora Nell Eastep of Paden; granddaughters and their husbands, Sherri and Scott Fipps of Paden, Brenda and Brett Allen of Paden, Sandy and Tommy Grounds of Paden; brother and sister-in-law, J.S. and Loree Eastep of Choctaw; sisters and their husbands, Adabelle and Gene Lee of Paden, Marie and Curtis Byerly of Paden, Edna and Max Case of Paden; five great-grandchildren; four great great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
