Clarence Owen, long-time, Chandler, Oklahoma, resident was born on May 29, 1918, in Lincoln County, Oklahoma, and departed this life on July 3, 2007, in Strafford, Missouri, at the age of 89 years. Clarence was the son of Dailey and Elmere Smith Owen. He married Stella Ruth Gilman on September 7, 1936, in Chandler. Clarence was a WWII veteran serving his time on Iwo Jima. He owned and operated a garage welding shop on north Manvel in Chandler for many years and will be remembered for his creative ideas. Clarence was a member of a non-denominational church in Missouri. His parents, wife of 64 years, Stella; one brother, and three grandchildren preceded Clarence in death.
