Chester Earl Smith

Chester Earl Smith, age 86, of Choctaw, OK, was born on December 4, 1926, in Paden, Oklahoma. He was the son of Porter E. & Sarah Jane (Coleman) Smith. Chester went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 10, 2012, in Choctaw, OK. Chester proudly served in the U.S. Navy and U.S. Army. He retired from Tinker AFB where he was an aircraft mechanic. He drove the school bus, delivered propane and delivered food to senior citizens in Choctaw. Chester attended Choctaw Church of God for over 40 years. He loved working on small engines, bluegrass music and loved the Lord. The family would like to thank Hospice Quality Care of Del City and St. Anthony Oncology & Radiology for their wonderful care. Chester was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Norma, daughter, Rhonda and daughter-in-law, Teresa. Survivors include 4 sons & daughters-in-law, Randy Smith, Choctaw, OK, Roger & Jan Smith, Choctaw, OK, Stephen & Janis Smith, Moore, OK, Mark & Stacey Smith, Choctaw, OK; special son, David Lundy, Woodward, OK; brother, Dan Smith, Prague, OK; 2 sisters, Maxine Mansfield, Midwest City, OK, Idalee Tiger, Hanford, CA; 12 grandchildren, Twinkie, Brandy, Nick, Sara, Steve, Jeff, Aaron, Chris, Cindy, Jarrett, Wyatt 6 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild and many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Tuesday, December 11, 2012 and 8:00AM to 9:00PM, Wednesday, December 12, 2012, at Smith-Parks Funeral Service, Harrah, OK. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Thursday, December 13 2012, at Parks Brothers Funeral Service, Prague, OK. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, December 13, 2012, at Prague Cemetery, Prague, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
