Charlsie Lee Smith

Charlsie Lee Ueltzen-Smith was born on May 11, 1938, in Mountainburg, Arkansas, and departed this life on Monday, June 15, 2009, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 71. Charlsie, the daughter of Ray and Ruth (Creekmore) Smith, was a resident of Shawnee. She married Billy Glenn Ueltzen on May 28, 1955 in Prague. He preceded her in death in August 1971. Charlsie worked for American National Bank for 30 years where she was a vice-president. Her father also preceded her in death. Although Charlsie battled breast cancer for 26 years, she had an amazing and positive attitude. Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Glenda and Ken Kerbo of Shawnee, Robin and Garry Young of Shawnee; mother, Ruth Smith of Shawnee; grandchildren, Ryan Linkous, Tara Henson and her husband Mike, Lindsey Barnell and her husband Brad, Kyle Ueltzen and his wife Valerie; six great-grandchildren; sister, Pattie Rae Smith of Shawnee; niece and nephew, Justin Burch, Angela and Jason Smith; two great-nieces; best friend, Doyle Roller of Tecumseh.
