Charlotte Mae Mixon - Potter, our beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, left this life on December 7, 2017 in Noble, OK. She was born August 27, 1936 to Clifton Russell and Eva Zell (Whitlow) DeGraffenreid in Newalla, OK. She graduated from McLoud High School and married Gene Mixon on November 7, 1953 and later married Mitchell Potter on March 24, 1987, after the death of Gene who passed away January 5, 1985. Charlotte was a homemaker and a member of the Newalla Church of Christ. She enjoyed painting with oils and also did drawings with pencil. She was a good cook, loved to bake. Her specialties were pies and cookies. She also attended Eastern Oklahoma County Vo-Tech at Choctaw and received a scholarship to attend a business school. She is survived by her two daughters and son-in-laws, Cindy & (John) Carpenter of Newalla, OK and Gina and ( Jim ) Sanders of Moore, OK; 4 grandchildren, Brandon Jackson, Erin Hunsinger, Bryan Jackson and Brett Jackson; 5 great-grandchildren, Kylie Hunsinger, Daisy Jackson, R.K. Hunsinger, Abbi Jackson and Desirae Jackson, and many other family and friends. Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, husband Gene Mixon, one sister Donna Meredith and one brother Wesley DeGraffenreid. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday Dec. 14, 2017 at Newalla Church of Christ in Newalla, OK. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Asa Smith - Parks Funeral Home in Harrah.
