Charley "Sonny" Davidson

Charley 'Sonny' Davidson, long-time Davenport, OK, resident was born on April 6, 1922, in the Davenport, and departed this life on Sunday, July 22, 2012, at his home in Davenport, at the age of 90 years. Sonny was the son of James Solomon and Laura Francis (Davidson) Davidson. He served in the United States Army Air Corp. during World War II. Sonny married JoAnne Ellison in Reno, NV, on August 25, 1950. He worked many years for General Motors as a inspector. His parents, wife, one son, five brothers, and three sisters, preceded him in death. Survivors include, two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert & Nedra Davidson of Alpine, UT, Michael & Teresa Davidson of Harrisburg, PA, thirteen grandchildren, twenty-nine great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at the First Baptist Church in Davenport, with Rev. Mike Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow at the New Zion Cemetery, Davenport, OK. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
