Charles S. Hixon was born on November 5, 1927 in Depew, Oklahoma and departed this life in Stroud, Oklahoma on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at the age of 83 years. Charles was the son of Evertt Arnold and Lizzie Arlie (Anderson) Hixon. Charles was a life time resident of Stroud, Oklahoma. He married Frances Teters in Stroud, Oklahoma on July 15, 1959. He was in the United States Army where he served in the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Stroud, Oklahoma and retired at Allied Material Corp. as a Specialist in the Rubber Plant. He was preceded in death by his parents, infant daughter and one sister, Survivors include, Wife, Frances of the home, One Daughter, Martha Hixon of Stroud, OK, Three Sisters, Ruby Dixon of Stroud, OK, Goldie Prewitt & husband Pete of Stroud, OK, Sylva Summers & husband Delmer of Stroud, OK, Other Friends and relatives, Funeral service will be held at the First Baptist Church in Stroud, Oklahoma on Monday, May 16, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Burl Mackey officiating. Burial will be in the Stroud Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud, Oklahoma Family will received friends and family from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Friday, May 13, 2011 at Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Stroud, Oklahoma.
