Charles Leon Garrett

Charles Leon ?Lee? Garrett, age 70, of Shawnee, OK, was born on August 12, 1936 in Shady Point, OK. He was the son of W.P. & Willie Edith Bechtold Garrett. He left this life on January 28, 2007 in Oklahoma City, OK. Lee was a retired painter, painting many new homes, old homes, anything that needed to be painted and repaired he did it. Lee always liked to repair his mowers and big tractors and many other things. He always had to be busy. Lee loved to fish, hunt and going to flea markets. He also loved to collect guns and knives, and clean and repair them. He enjoyed gardening with Lucy and they always had a large garden. He was always willing to help his neighbors if they needed him for anything. Lee had many friends. Lee is now with with Lucy and Donna, getting their fishing poles and all going fishing. Then Lee will say, who has the biggest fish now, of course we all know who has the biggest catch, Lee of course. Lee was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Virginia ?Lucy? Garrett, his daughter, Donna Garrett; two sisters, Ernestine Harris and Peggy Harris and one brother, Olen Garrett. Lee leaves behind his loving family: daughter & son-in-law, Janis & Bill McAllister of OKC;4 grandchildren, B.J. McAllister of OKC, Herman McAllister of OKC, Kristy Garrett of OKC, Yolanda Garrett of OKC;7 great-grandchildren, Katie McAllister of Virginia, Ashley McAllister of Virginia, Marissa Saxton of OKC, Bubba Larry Jr. Saxton of OKC, Andrew Geddes of Waukomis, Josh Geddes of Waukomis, Jennifer Geddes of Waukomis; 5 sisters, Joe McDonald of Ada, Betty Faulker of Tulsa, Barbara White of Tulsa, Lois McFadden of Tulsa, Alice Golf of Poteau and 1 brother, Billie Garrett of OKC. He will missed by many other relatives and friends Graveside services will be at 11:00 AM, Wednesday January 31, 2007, at Dale Cemetery in Dale, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
