Charles L. Baade, McLoud, OK, age 79, was born on October 14, 1924, in McLoud, OK. He was the son of Otto and Aurelia Baade. He was embraced by his Eternal Father on December 21, 2003 in Midwest City, OK. Charles was raised on a farm northwest of McLoud, and graduated from Dale High School. He was married to Annie Turner, who was taken to rest in peace in 1992. Charles and Annie moved to New Orleans, where he worked for TWA and she was a schoolteacher. They both retired at the same time and returned to Midwest City in 1979, later moving to McLoud, where they made their home until Charles? death. Charles was known by family and friends as a gourmet cook, a world traveler, an avid amateur photographer, and a devout member of the Lutheran Church. Charles was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Annie; his sister, Edna Wolf; his brother, Robert Baade; his very special and very loved friend, Jimmy Gosswein, with whom he had a very special bond; and Willa Mae Bunger, who he took under his wing and cared for until her death. Survivors include his2 Sisters; Lillian Gilliland, Oklahoma City, OK, Louise Means, Topeka, KS; Brother-in-law & Sister-in-law, Barry & Elaine Turner, Midwest City, OK; Sister-in-law, Ruth Pekarek, Burlington, CO, Many nieces and nephews, as well as many beloved friends. Memorial contributions may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Chruch, Shawnee, OK. A memorial service will be held 1:00 PM, Tuesday, December 23, 2003, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Shawnee, OK. Arrangements by Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
