Charles H. Bruton

Charles Hazelwood Bruton, Chandler, Oklahoma, resident was born on June 24, 1942, in Fairfax, Oklahoma, and departed this life on November 19, 2007, at his home in Chandler, at the age of 65 years. Charles was the son of Granville and Jewell Thomas Reed Bruton. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Charles married Margaret Williams on March 7, 1982, in Miami, Oklahoma. He worked as a truck driver for many years. Charles was a life-time member of Disabled American Veterans. His parents, wife, and step-father preceded Charles in death. Survivors include, Three sons, Kyle Rex Bruton of Odessa, TX, Doug Joplin of Edmond, OK, Corby Joplin of Park City, KS, Daughter, Shal Pitts of Chandler, OK, One brother, Joe Bob Reed of Perkins, OK, Two sisters, Phyllis Reed of Chicago, IL, Barbara Moore of Canto, TX, Nine grandchildren, One great-grandchild, Other relatives and many friends Memorial services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, November 21, 2007, at the Parks Brothers Chapel in Chandler, with Rev. Larry Stribling officiating. Burial will follow at Fairfax Cemetery, Fairfax, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service, Chandler.
