Charles Curtis Tharp

Charles Curtis 'Chuck' Tharp, age 86, of Harrah, OK, was born on July 10, 1930, in Choctaw, OK. He was the son of Arthur & Annie (Curtis) Tharp. He left this life on Monday, December 5, 2016, in Harrah, OK. Farming and family was Chuck's life. He was a member of the Jones area farming community with close family ties to the Manwell's, also of Jones. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Linda Lee Johnson, two brothers and two sisters. Survivors include his daughter & son-in-law, Trina & Jack Brown, Harrah, OK; sister, Bonnie Ptacek, Olathe, Kansas; 4 grandchildren, Cody Trout, Shaye Brown, Tyler Brown & Jamie Brown; 2 great-grandchildren, Colby Trout & Kaylee Compton; his dog, Pistol, other relatives and many friends. A reception for family and friends will be held from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, Friday, December 9th at Smith-Parks Funeral Service, 2039 N. Tim Holt Dr., Harrah, OK.
