Cecil R. Forrest

Cecil R. Forrest was born on April 30, 1936, in Wetumka, OK, and departed this life on Saturday, April 15, 2006, in Bristow, OK, at the age of 69. Cecil, the son of Alvin Jack and Alice Dora Glasco Forrest, was a resident of Paden. Cecil served his country with the United States Army from 1955-1957. Following boot camp at Fort Bliss, TX, he was stationed in Vilseck, Germany. He married Ruth D. Sheets on June 6, 1975. Cecil was of the Methodist faith and was a member of the VFW in Larned, KS. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His parents preceded Cecil in death. Survivors include his wife, Ruth D. Sheets of the home; sons, Rick Farris of Prague and Ed Seachris of Paden; daughters, Patty Anne Keenum of Castle, Francine Easton of Bristow, Penny Fletcher of Missouri, Rose Farris of Prague, Brenda Carman of Savanna; sister, Juanita Brand of Midwest City; 15 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
