Cecil Lankford

Cecil Lankford, a Stroud resident was born on March 12, 1928 in Tahlequah, OK and departed this life in Stroud, OK on Saturday, December 2, 2006 at the age of 78 years. Cecil was the daughter of Preston and Dora Satterfield Cook. Cecil was resident of Stroud, OK since 1955, was a member of the Higher Praise Church in Stroud, OK, she worked as a manager for Howard Johnson in Stroud for 23 years & was known for making Quilt. Cecil married J. D. Lankford in Bristow, OK on February 8, 1946. He preceded her in death on April 27, 1975. She was also preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers. Survivors include, Three Sons & Daughter in laws, Glenn and Alice Lankford of Sapulpa, OK, Jay and Patti Lankford of Tulsa, OK, Kenny and Carrie Lankford of Broken Arrow, OK, One Sister, Sharon Jordan of Oklahoma City, OK, Long Time Companion, Jerry Ring of Stroud, OK Eight Grandchildren, Four Great Grandchildren, Other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at the Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Stroud, OK on Tuesday, December 5, 2006 at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Jon Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in the Stroud Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud.
