Cecellia Ann Fujii

Cecellia Ann Fujii, age 83, of Las Vegas, Nevada, formerly of Newalla, Oklahoma, was born July 22, 1931, in Commerce, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Dee L. & Anna (Nee Shouse) Peterson. She left this life on Friday, January 16, 2015, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Cecellia married Goro Fujii on October 3, 1970, in Commerce, OK. Eventually settling in Newalla, she was a homemaker and Indian Education Teacher at Harrah Public Schools for several years. She was an active person in her community, regardless of where she lived. Pilot International, Cub Scouts of America, coaching soccer, and supporting any/all activities in which her sons were involved filled her time, outside of family and faith. She was a member of the Newalla First Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, reading, raising animals, and cooking, especially for her family and friends. And, she loved her dogs: Sugar, Kiki and Pearl. Cecellia was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Dee L Jr., Lawrence, and Wesley, and her beloved husband. She is survived by her two sons and daughter-in-law, Dee L. & Kimberley Fujii, Las Vegas, NV and Gordon Fujii, Midwest City, OK, her grandsons, Kai Fujii and Teo Fujii, and many other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 28, 2015, at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery, Newalla, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
