Catherine Luella Patterson

Catherine Luella Patterson, age 81, of McLoud, OK, was born December 31, 1934, in Cullman County, Alabama. She was the daughter of Marcus O. & Theresa Emma (Speer) Thrower. She passed away on Monday, September 5, 2016, in Oklahoma City, OK. Catherine worked as a nurse for many years, and was a member of the McLoud Church of Christ. She enjoyed working in her flower and vegetable gardens, and had many hobbies, crocheting, cross stitching, embroidery, reading and coloring pictures. She is preceded in death by her parents, one son, Stephen Taylor and one daughter, Theresa Joan Baker. Survivors include her husband, Benjamine Patterson, three sons & daughter-in-law, Mark & Carol Taylor of Plainfield, IL, Randy Dunn of Oklahoma City, OK, Charles Sides of McLoud, OK; two daughters & son-in-law Janine Taylor of Wellston, OK and Melody & Sean Gentry of Shawnee, OK; one brother, Larry Thrower of Baileyton, AL; three sisters, Juanita Thrower-Chambers of Arab, AL, Elaine Taylor of Baileyton, AL and Sylvia Latham of Baileyton, AL; 12 grandchildren, Jason & Jeremy Blocker, Joshua Taylor, Stephanie Hallmark, Justin Taylor, Hanna Gentry,Jessica Mathews, Dylan Cohran, Kaylon & Kori Dunn, Tela Lovingshimer and Tracy Taylor and nine great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM, Friday, September 9, 2016, at McLoud Church of Christ McLoud, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
