Casey Lynn Ackerman

Casey Lynn Ackerman was born on November 17, 1997 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and departed this life on May 17, 2020 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 22. Casey is the daughter of Bryan and Leah (Brown) Ackerman of Stroud, Oklahoma. Casey graduated Stroud High School with the Class of 2016. She worked at Williams Grocery store and was enrolled and taking classes at Tulsa Community College. Casey was a person who absolutely loved life. She loved to go at the drop of hat and get out of town for the day, especially if it involved Mexican food. She had an affection for cats and was pictured with them often. Casey had a passion for math and science, her major in college was even in science. Casey loved to, not argue, but debate, especially with her family. Casey was a special person also in that she didn’t care where you came from, what you looked like or what you believed, she just would appreciate you even more for those differences. She loved people. Casey is preceded in death by her grandmother Nancy Brown; great grandparents Paul and Juanita Hicks, Cecil and Alta Brown, Lee and Josephine Meredith, and Jean Ackerman McKinley. Casey is survived parents Bryan and Leah Ackerman; her sister Allison Messer and husband Seth; her brothers Kendall and Kyle Ackerman; her nephews Colt and Drew Messer and niece Maci Messer; her grandparents Kenneth Brown, Paula Ackerman and Ira Ackerman; her aunts Ava Ackerman, Sheila Pritchett and husband Zach, Kim Beasler and husband Troy and uncle Chet Ackerman and wife Stephanie; cousins Courtney, Colby, Sam, Madison, Carlee, Danica, Qulahni, Kambri, K’Mya, Aubree, and Beau; best friends Jonas Burns and Sevinah Meadows. Casey is also survived by many other extended family and friends. A memorial service is planned for Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at 10:00 am at Stroud First Christian Church, Stroud, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud, OK.
