Carlene Sharpe

Carlene (Logemann) Sharpe, 63, a resident of Shawnee, Oklahoma, passed away on November 3, 2021, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Carlene was born on September 13, 1958, to Herbert Ernest Logemann and Charlotte Ray Kennedy in Los Angeles, California. She was raised in El Monte, California, attending Arroyo High School, class off 1977, and obtaining her GED in 1978. She then attended Bryman College where she and her mother finished at the top of their class. Carlene was married to Edward James Vasquez and then to Barry Van Sharpe. Carlene served her community as a nurse and in billing and coding for several years. After her nursing career, Carlene served her family at home as a housewife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed sewing, growing orchids, and cooking anything and everything for her family. Carlene was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert Ernest Logemann and Charlotte Ray Kennedy Logemann; husbands, Edward James Vasquez, and Barry Van Sharpe; brothers Dennis Ray McCarver, and Rodney Alan Logemann; and her son, Brian Haskell Sharpe. Those left to cherish her memory are her sons Steven S. Vasquez and wife, Ladawn and Robert L. Vasquez and wife, Kathryn; her grandchildren, Phillip Vazquez, Nathan Thompson, Tasha Remis and her husband, Chris, Cody Persinger, Annaleisa Locklear and husband, Patrick, Jasmine Vasquez, Jayden Bailey, Ashton Salgado, Kyla Jade Sharpe, and Sawyer Michael Sharpe; great-grandchildren, Joseph, Jada, CJ, and Elizabeth Remis, and Clementine Vasquez; sisters Diane Lynn McCarver Hiller Knapp, and Tammy Logemann McDonald and husband, Wallace Scott McDonald; and a brother William David McCarver; sister-in-law Barbara Amstutz and husband, Rick; nieces and nephews, Bryan Hiller, Jennifer Hiller Prince, Amanda Reign McDonald Jones and husband, Jonathan, Thomas Michael McDonald, and James McCarver; aunts, Marilyn Kennedy and Darlene Kennedy Blanchard.
