Carla Rae Lawson, Harrah, died June 2, 2004, due to an auto accident. She was born on March 11, 1961 in Oklahoma City, OK. She grew up and lived most of her life in the vicinity of Choctaw and Harrah, OK. She graduated from Choctaw High School in 1979. She retired from Sam?s Club in Midwest City and was a member of the staff at Choctaw Jr. High School at the time of her death. Carla brought joy to all who knew her. She enjoyed playing with her grandchildren and being with her family, especially at Lake Eufaula. Carla delighted in playing practical jokes on everyone. She was creative in everything she touched?.and she touched everything and everyone with love. Surviving are her husband and best friend, Mark; son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Courtney Lawson, granddaughter, Ashlyn of Midwest City, OK, with expectant joy for a future grandson, Tanner Rae; son and daughter-in-law, Ryan and Kaylon Lawson, granddaughters, Gabrielle and Kali of Jones, OK. Mother, Cleone Phelps, Maud, OK; three sisters and two brothers. She also leaves family, friends and loved ones too numerous to mention. She was preceded in death by her father, R.B. Dodson and her stepfather, Harvey D. Phelps, Sr., both of Maud, OK. Services will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, June 5, 2004, at the Choctaw Jr. High Gymnasium, 14667 NE 3rd St., Choctaw, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
