Carl "Tom" Thomas Hubbell

Carl “Tom” Thomas Hubbell was born on March 9, 1937 in Stroud, OK to Esther Joyce (Collins) and Floyd Gordon Hubbell. Tom departed this life on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at his home in Stroud, OK. Tom was a Stroud High School graduate with the class of 1955 and a graduate of Oklahoma University with a degree in geology. He served five years in the United States Air Force with his final tour in Vietnam. He went on to have a twenty seven year career as a commercial airline pilot with United Airlines. He was business partners with Leslie Ann Holt in Colorado where they built a farm and five years later they married in November 1982. After retiring, they moved to Stroud, OK where they worked with a charity to provide retirement for Thoroughbred racehorses. Tom was an avid reader, enjoyed golf and fishing, but his true passion was animals and the preservation of both the environment and wildlife. Tom is preceded in death by his parents and sister Eva Lou Kitchen. Tom leaves behind his wife of 38 years Leslie Ann Hubbell, his two sons from a previous marriage, Thomas Matthew Hubbell, and Aaron John Hubbell, his two grandchildren Nicholas Hubbell and Emma Hubbell, his brother Floyd Gordon Hubbell, Jr. and other family members who will miss him dearly. Private family services were held. Care Services are provided by Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud, OK.
