Byron Ray Watkins

Byron Ray Watkins was born in Prague, Oklahoma October 8, 1936, and departed this life in Oklahoma City on January 21, 2005. He was 68 years of age. Byron Ray was the son of Ray and Lillie Belle Stricklin Watkins. He graduated from Paden High School and was a retired self-employed surveyor. He was married to Doris Dean Martin on February 18, 1956 and she preceded him in death on August 7, 2000. He then married Wanda Hirrill Shook in Ft. Smith, Arkansas on August 13, 2001. He and Wanda attended the Freewill Baptist Church in Prague. Survivors include: His wife: Wanda Watkins, of the home in Paden; One son & daughter in law: Scott & Sonya Watkins, Prague; Four daughters & sons in law: Susie and Gary Beck, Paden, Glenda & David Carver, Paden, Trenna & Steve Wright, Shawnee, Debbie & Mark McCoy, Paden, One brother & sister in law:Glen & Mary Sue Watkins, Paden; One sister & brother in law:Rhonda & Jerry Vass, Paden, Three step children: Derrick Eddington, Rogers, Arkansas, Jody Eddington, Sand Springs, OK, Shelly Eddington, Tulsa, OK, 10 Grandchildren, 4 Great grandchildren, 6 Step Grandchildren.
