Stanford Curtis 'Bud' Taliaferro, Chandler, OK, resident was born on March 11, 1940, in Elk City, OK, and departed this life on Wednesday, February 22, 2012, at his home, at the age of 71 years. Bud was the son of Bernard and Virgie (Stepp) Taliaferro. He married Jimmie Ted Stipe on February 27, 1993. Bud worked as a truck driver for Trans Con and Yellow Freight Company for many years. After his retirement, he worked for Lincoln County, District II. He was a member of the Chandler Southern Baptist Church, Chandler Masonic Lodge #58AF &AM, having served as past Master, he was a 32degree Mason, and a Shriner. His parents and two brothers preceded Bud in death. Survivors include his wife of 19 years, Jimmie Ted of the home, one son Dezmon of Chandler, one daughter, Stephanie Taliaferro of Edmond, OK, three brothers, Bernard Taliaferro Jr. of Purcell, OK, Ronald Taliaferro of Oklahoma City, OK, Tony Lewis of Oklahoma City, two sisters, Barbara Powell of Ft. Worth, TX, Diana Aderkerson of Elk City, OK, four grandchildren, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, February 24, 2012, at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel, Chandler, OK, with Rev. Keith Henley officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Park Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
