Bobby Dale Dawson

Bobby Dale Dawson was born on July 8, 1930, in Paden, Oklahoma and departed this life at his home on May 1, 2014, in Paden, Oklahoma, at the age of 83. Bobby, the son of Noble Benton and Hattie Mae (Barnett) Dawson, was a long-time resident of Paden. Bobby married Ermagene Stastny on July 13, 1953, in Okemah. He graduated from Paden High School in 1949. He attended Oklahoma Baptist University. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, serving 18 months of active duty in Korea. He then worked for Tinker Air Force Base, retiring in 1985. He was a 32nd Degree Mason with the A&A Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, a member of the Grand Lodge of Oklahoma, the India Shriners of Oklahoma City and the American Legion. He was also a member of Prague First Baptist Church. He loved spending time with his family and working with his cattle on the farm. His parents, brother-in-law, Harvey Carver, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Charles and Verna Stastny, and niece, Jaylena Willms, preceded Bobby in death. Survivors include: his wife of 60 years, Ermagene (Stastny) Dawson of Paden; son and daughter-in-law, Bobby Gene and Pam Dawson of Van Alstyne, TX; daughter and son-in-law, Robin and Jimmie Coker of Prague; grandchildren, Jessica and Kevin Ambrose of Allen, TX, Tara and Brandon Pickard of Prague, Heylee and Andrew Heep of Dallas, TX, Cayla and Lance Blocker of Newcastle and Corbin and Daelen McClendon of Tulsa; great grandchildren, Kylie and Katie Pickard and Brooklyn and Blake Ambrose; sister, Joy Carver of Paden; brother-in-law, J.D. and Terri Stastny of Prague; other family and friends The Dawson family will receive friends on Sunday, May 4, 2014, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Prague. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 5, 2014, at 3:00 PM at First Baptist Church in Prague with Bro. Tim Emmons officiating. Interment will follow at Paden Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
