Bobby Charles Hessman was born on July 18, 1931, in Paden, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Sunday, October 21, 2012, in Midwest City Oklahoma, at the age of 81. Bobby, the son of Fred William and Lillian Pearl (Chaney) Hessman, was a resident of Paden. He graduated from Paden High School and proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean conflict. Bobby married Della Sue Capps on April 17, 1970 in Paden, Oklahoma. He worked as a maintenance superintendant for the State of Oklahoma. Bobby was a member of the First Baptist Church in Paden, a carpenter, former Paden School Board member, and a member of the Paden Farmers and Ranchers. His parents; son, Douglas Hessman; brothers, Jack Hessman and Lt. Col. Fred William Hessman; and great-granddaughter, Angel Hessman, preceded Bobby in death. Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Sue Hessman of the home; sons and daughters-in-law, Dwayne and Carol Hessman of Shawnee, Michael and Cheryl Hessman of Choctaw; brother-in-law, Joe Capps; sisters-in-law, Esta Lee Hessman, Betty Spicer, Fern Smith, Fern Hessman; grandchildren, Tanner Hessman, Sydney Hessman, Scott and Jessica Hessman, Jason and Jennifer Hessman, Tara and Dale Gilbert, Sara and Sean Nicholas; great-grandchildren,Damion, Savannah, Tyler, Aiden, Alivia, Jaden, Jacob, Jacen; many nieces and nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends. The Hessman family will receive friends on Tuesday evening at Parks Brothers Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at 10:00, at the First Baptist Church in Paden with Bro. Letkey McIntosh and Bro. Terry Pittman officiating. Interment will follow at Oakdale Cemetery in Paden.
