Bob Collins

Robert Lee 'Bob' Collins was born on December 24, 1938, in Paden, and departed this life on Tuesday, November 2, 2010, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 71. Bob, the son of Pleze Edgar and Sylvia Cecil (Morelock) Collins, was a resident of Paden. He graduated from Paden High School. On June 4, 1958, Bob married his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Eunice Smith. He retired as a supervisor from Tinker AFB following over 30 years of service. He was the mayor of Paden for 32 years, a volunteer firefighter, a member of the Paden Young Farmers and Ranchers, and coached many little league baseball and softball teams. His grandkids were his pride and joy. Some of his happiest times were spent in Branson with Eunice - 'I've been everywhere man!' His parents; four brothers, Chuck, Winford, Cecil, and Maxwell D. Collins; and one sister, Vella Cheatwood, preceded Bob in death. Survivors include his wife of 52 years,Eunice Collins of the home; sons and daughters-in-law, Rocky and Pam Collins of Prague, Dusty and Lisa Collins of Paden, Kip and Becky Collins of Paden; daughters and sons-in-law, Terri and Don Clark of Shawnee, Robin and Brad Turner of Bristow; brother and sister-in-law, Dean and Ruthie Collins of Paden; sisters and brothers-in-law, Seleta and Clarence Heard of Paden, Wilma and Sheridan Watts of Paden, Anita and Jerry Smith of Prague; 12 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; numerous other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 4, 2010 at 2:00 PM, at Burnett Mission in Paden with Bro. Paul Heard and Rev. Carl Upton officiating. Interment will follow at the Paden Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
