Bivian Vonnie Peery, 77 years young, of McLoud, OK, was born on November 23, 1927, in Cashada, Lousiana, to Zolie Ramsey and Myrtle Lee Ramsey. The angels took her home to be with her husband on March 2, 2005. Bivian was the oldest of 2 sisters and 3 brothers. After her high school years, she met her husband, Allen Peery, in Chandler, Arizona, in the cotton fields where they were pulling cotton bolls. After dating for three months, he moved to Oklahoma City, but love quickly brought him back to Arizona. He and Bivian were married on September 22, 1943, at the Justice of the Peace in Chandler, Arizona. They were married for forty eight years before his passing. Shortly after they were married, they moved to Oklahoma City where they started a family. Bivian was the very definition of a mother. Her ever-patient and loving kindness showed in every way in every life she touched. She enjoyed a full house surrounded by all of her family and friends, having family dinners, going to listen to Blue Grass music, fishing, gardening, bird watching, and her faithful companion, Precious, to whom she would always bring treats home to. Bivian was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Elsie Ramsey and Sammy Hawkins; her granddaughter, Veronica Hagey; and great granddaughter, Tamara Hagey. Survivors include 2 sons & daughters-in-laws, Danny & Martha Peery, Gerry & Betty Peery; 4 daughters & 2 sons-in-law, Louise Morel, Annette Sullivan, Kathy & Doug Bond, Mary & Buddy West; 1 brother, Johnny Hawkins; 2 sisters, Velma Barker and Mary Fehner; 20 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild. Services will be held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, March 5, 2005, at the Asa Smith Memorial Chapel, Harrah, OK. Interment will follow at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery, Newalla, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
