Billy Wade Lewis

Billy Wade Lewis, age 73, was born on April 14, 1932, in Magazine, AR, and departed this life on Sunday, May 29, 2005, in Midwest City, OK. Billy was the son of R. J. & Lucy Gibson Lewis. He graduated from high school in Magazine, AR, and served in the United States Coast Guard from 1952 to 1956. Billy married Irene F. Cowan in September of 1956, in Boston, MA. They moved to Harrah in 1956, where Billy worked for OG&E as a lineman and later as an inspector. He was a member of the Happy Tracks Square Dance Club and also enjoyed wolf hunting. Billy was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Robert and James. Survivors include his wife, Irene Lewis of McLoud, OK; 3 sons, Wade Lewis of Meeker, OK, Martin Lewis of Harrah, OK, Kevin Lewis of Denver, CO; 1 daughter & son-in-law, Teresa & Billie Marshall of Harrah, OK; 1 brother,R. J. Lewis of Farmers Branch, TX; 3 sisters, Annie Ryan of Magazine, AR, Sally Rowton of Ardmore, OK, Mary Crumley of Choctaw, OK; 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and many other friends and relatives. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 1, 2005, at Elmwood Cemetery, Choctaw, OK, with Rev. Glen Walters officiating. Services are under the direction of Smith-Parks Funeral Service, Harrah, OK.
