Billy Ray Eastep

September 15, 1942 — July 19, 2008

Pete, the son of Clarence 'Buck' and Opal Parker Eastep, was a resident of Paden. He proudly served his country in the Oklahoma National Guard, the United States Army, and the United States Marine Corps. He served during the Vietnam era where he was awarded the Purple Heart, the Cross of Gallantry with Palm, the Combat Action Ribbon and the Presidential Unit Citation. He was preceded in death by his mother. Survivors include: Father, Clarence Eastep of Paden; brother and sister-in-law, Jim & Cornell Eastep of Paden; nieces, Sherri Fipps and her husband, Scott, of Paden, Brenda Allen and her husband, Brett, of Woodward, and Sandy Grounds and her husband, Tommy, of Paden; 2 great nieces, 3 great nephews, 1 great-great niece, 2 great-great nephews Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at 2:00 p.m., at the Freewill Baptist Church in Paden with Rev. Jim Eastep and Rev. Brett Allen officiating. Interment will follow at the Paden Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
