Billy Joe Shafer

Billy Joe Shafer, Chandler, Oklahoma, resident, was born on October 2, 1931, in Chandler, Oklahoma, and departed this life on August 18, 2005, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 73 years. Bill was the son of Ray S. and Pricie Walters Shafer. He was a graduate of the Chandler High School with the class of 1949. Bill served in the United States Air Force. He married Joann Taylor in Chandler, Oklahoma on October 15, 1950. Bill worked for the APAC construction company in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He retired as Vice President after 36 years of service. He and his wife were the owner?s of the Chandler Hardware Store. Bill was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Chandler. His parents and one sister preceded Bill in death. Survivors include: Wife of 54 years: Joann of the home, One daughter and son-in-law: Pamela & Richard Rogers of Little Rock, Arkansas, Brother: C. Ray Shafer of Tulsa, OK, Sister: Sue Galbraith of Chandler, OK, Granddaughter & spouse:Stephanie & Berry Bryant of Little Rock, Arkansas. Other relatives and many friends.
