Billy Joe Mckee

Billy Joe McKee was born on June 15, 1934, in Okemah, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Saturday, July 10, 2010, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, at the age of 76. Billy, the son of Herchel James and Sylvia Agnes (Brimm) McKee, was a resident of the Prague area since 1981. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean conflict. Billy worked as a carpenter. He married Bonnie Jean Strutton in 1952. She preceded him in death in 2007. Billy married Sandi Elaine Edwards on June 7, 2009. They made their home in McLoud. His parents and one brother, Charles McKee, also preceded Billy in death. Survivors include wife, Sandra McKee of the home; sons, Bobby and Loretta McKee of Meeker, Daniel McKee of Prague; daughter, Pam Ross of Prague; step-daughters, Ashley Munson and her husband Swen of Copperas Cove, TX, Mandi Huffhines and her husband Thomas of Wolfe City, TX; sister, Lois Butler of Shawnee; sister-in-law, Dorothy McKee of Prague: six grandchildren, five great- grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 15, 2010 at 10:00 AM, at Little Cemetery in Seminole County with Bro. Tim Emmons officiating. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
