Billy Joe Hugueley

Billy Joe Hugueley, of Chandler, Oklahoma, passed away on Wednesday, November 15th, 2023, in Stroud, Oklahoma at the age of 89. Billy was born on August 27, 1934, in Newbern, Tennessee. He was the son of Johnny D. and Esther May (Graham) Hugueley. Billy was raised between the small towns of Western Tennessee and Dearborn, Michigan. He graduated from Peabody High School in Trenton, Tennessee. He served in the United States Army from July 13, 1953, to June 29, 1956. He then went on to have a four-year apprenticeship with Carpenters Union in Michigan.


Billy met and married his teenage sweetheart, Carol Lee (Haugen) Hugueley on June 5, 1954, and started his family in Michigan where his oldest son and daughter were born. They later ventured to Orange County, California where they completed their loving family and were blessed with two more sons. Adventure was in Billy’s blood, so they decided to move to Oklahoma in 1972. Billy later established Hugueley Construction then went on to work for NAICO in 1990 where he retired.


Billy is preceded in death by his mother and father; brothers, Lottie Graham “Spike” Hugueley, Adrian Hugueley, and Jerrell Hugueley; sisters, Mereen Lamkin, Francis Courtwright, Vernell Mullins, Dorthy Alexander; and his eldest son William Joseph Hugueley.


Billy is survived by his wife Carol Lee Hugueley; daughter, Cheryl Davis; sons, James Randall “Randy” and wife Bonnie Jo Hugueley and Craig Allen Hugueley and wife Patricia Bridget Lasar; and daughter-in-law, Elaine Hugueley; grandchildren, Christopher and wife Kimberly Williams, Brian and wife Michelle Johnson, David Hugueley, Joni and husband Greg Alford, Lori and husband Qasim Al Saedi, Teri Hugueley and Tony Khamvongsouk, Bridgette and husband Kyle Seagraves, Benjamin and wife Podnicha Hugueley, and Timothy and wife Kylie Hugueley; great grandchildren, Brianna Tarver, Daven Williams, Brady Hugueley, Tristen McCoy, Ledger Williams, Tinley Seagraves, Slade Seagraves, Berkley Hugueley, Ryan Hugueley, and John Hugueley; sisters, Marcie Faye, Geraldine and husband Jim Dickerson, and Linda Sue Taylor; and many nieces and nephews.


Services will be held at the Chandler First Church of the Nazarene on Friday, November 17, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. and are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service Chandler.
