Billy Cy Lakey

Billy Cy Lakey of Stroud, Oklahoma was welcomed into the arms of our Lord and Savior on October 12, 2020. Born in Pecan Gap, Texas to Leldon and Betty (Bloodgood) Lakey on October 14, 1949. Billy is survived by his sons Matt Lakey and wife Cathy and Brian Lakey and wife Heather, grandchildren Nick Lakey, Abi Lakey and Asher Lakey, brother Bobby Lakey and sister Sue Davis and some extended family. He is preceded in death by his parents. Billy was one of a kind and took great care of his sons and grandchildren. Billy owned and operated his own flooring business for many years until his retirement. He then moved from the Grapevine, Texas area around eleven years ago to Stroud to be closer to his family. Over the years, he has been an active in the Stroud community especially at the Stroud Food pantry and also with the Habitat for Humanity. Memorial services will be held on Friday, October 16, 2020 at 11:00am at First Baptist Church of Stroud - 302 W 4th St, Stroud, OK 74079. A guest book is available to share your memories on-line.
