Bill K. Maples

Bill Keith Maples, age 82, of Harrah, OK, was born on February 6, 1926 in Harrah, OK. He was the son of Jess & Faith June Shaw Maples. He left this life on Saturday, July 5, 2008, in Oklahoma City, OK. Bill lived in the Harrah area his entire life. During WW II, Bill served his country proudly in the Army Air Corps. After the war, he continued working with aircraft and retired from Tinker Air Force Base. In 1958, Bill met and married the love of his life, Dola Jean Fugate Stockman Maples. He was a longtime member of the Harrah Church of the Nazarene. Bill was a devoted husband, artist, avid reader and a lover of nature. Bill was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Burton Brandt. He is survived by his wife, Dola Jean Maples of Harrah; son, Reyndell Stockman and wife, Ruth, of Tulsa, OK; sisters, Judy Lewis & husband, Jim of Meeker, OK, Bonita McRee & husband, Bill of Harrah, OK and many other relatives and friends. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, July 8, 2008, at the Harrah Church of the Nazarene, Harrah, OK with Rev. Hubert Gilbert & Pastor Larry Stone officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Lane Cemetery, Harrah, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service, Harrah, OK.
