Bill Archie Moyer

Bill Archie Moyer was born on March 23, 1930, in Keokuk Falls, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Monday, September 8, 2008, in Prague, Oklahoma, at the age of 78. Bill, the son of Charlie Edward and Grace Hall Moyer, was a resident of Prague. He married Berta Louise Jones on March 25, 1985 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. Bill retired from the United States Army following 20 years of service to his country. He was also a heavy equipment operator. His parents, three brothers, and one sister preceded Bill in death. Survivors include his wife, Berta Moyer of the home; sons and daughter-in-law, Marc Preston of Reno, NV; and Les and Amy Preston of Tulsa; daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Junior Emmons of Prague; grandsons, Jason Thomas of Austin TX, Matthew Emmons and his wife Sherry of Paden; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bobby and Raylene Moyer of Oklahoma City, David and Carol Moyer of Las Vegas, NV; sister and brother-in-law, Lorene and Nick Nickerson of Houston, TX; two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2008 at 10:00 AM, at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague with Rev. Sharon Capron officiating. Interment will follow at the Prague Cemetery.
