Betty Jean Waldroup was born on May 16, 1930, in Davenport, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Saturday, September 18, 2010, in Oklahoma City, OK, at the age of 80 years. Betty, the daughter of Earl Day and Charlotte (Bracksieck) Tipton. She was a long time resident of Davenport, Oklahoma. Betty married Harold Waldroup on April 24, 1953 in Davenport. Betty worked many years and was vice-president of Security State Bank in Davenport, Oklahoma and was a member of the Church of Christ. Her parents and one son-in-law preceded Betty in death. Survivors include, husband, Harold Waldroup of the home, two daughters and sons-in-laws, Pamela & David Flatlie of Davenport, OK, Angie & Mark Saffell of Mustang, OK, three brothers, Jimmy Earl Tipton of Davenport, OK, John Day Tipton of Davenport, OK, Jerry A. Tipton of Edmond, OK, two sisters, Janice Jackson of Davenport, Judith E. Dunlap of Haskell, TX, 6 Grandchildren, 4 Great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 21, 2010, at 10:00 A.M., at the Church of Christ in Davenport, Oklahoma, with Don Fuchs officiating. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
