Betty Jo Vinson

Betty Jo Vinson, age 74, of Harrah, OK, was born on October 8, 1942, in Oklahoma City, OK. She was the daughter of Joe & Mary (Manek) Erbin. She left this life surrounded by family on Wednesday, October 19, 2016, in Harrah, OK. Betty graduated from Harrah High School. She married James A. Vinson on March 10, 1962, in Jones, OK. Betty was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Mary Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Jones, OK, and St. Mary's sisterhood. Betty's greatest joy in life was her family. She loved family gatherings, traveling with family, and spending as much time as possible with her grandkids. Betty was preceded in death by her father, husband and sister, Julia Wall. She is survived by her mother, Mary Erbin, Harrah, OK; son & daughter-in-law, David & Malinda Vinson, Harrah, OK; 2 daughters & sons-in-law, Tammy & Ryan Brown, Edmond, OK, Kim & Cameron Strange, Harrah, OK; 8 grandchildren, Justen (wife Kellie), Jacob, Halle, Miles, Baylee, Luke, Grady and Tatum;1 great-grandchild, Hunter Vinson; her dog, Missy and many other relatives and friends. The Trisagion will be 6:00 PM, Sunday, October 23, 2016, at the Asa Smith Memorial Chapel, Harrah, OK. Services will be 2:00 PM, Monday, October 24, 2016, at St. Mary Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Jones, OK, with Father Raphael Moore officiating. Interment to follow at St. Mary Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery, Harrah, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
