Betty Jean Scott

OBITUARY: Betty Jean Scott Betty Jean Scott was born in Jenkins, MO on October 1, 1932 and departed this life in Checotah, Oklahoma on December 20, 2019 at the age of 87 years. Betty was the daughter of Cleve and Aimee (Smith) Hudson. Betty was a resident of Checotah since 2016 moving from Stroud. She loved to talk to people and Betty owned and operated an Answering Service in Liberal, Kansas for six years before moving back to Stroud in 1964. Betty then went to work for Don' IGA until 1972. She then move back to Oklahoma City and went to work for Rainbo Service Co as office manager. Betty retired from Rainbo Service Co in 1987. She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Marsha Van Vranken, two brothers, one sister and one grandson. Survivors include one son Bud and daughter in law Frances Scott of Council Hill, OK., three grandchildren, Chris, Pepper and Casey, six great grandchildren, one great great grandson and other relatives and friends. Graveside service will be held at the Stroud Cemetery on Tuesday, December 24, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. James Bond officiating. Service are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud.
