Betty Jean Hamilton

Betty Jean Hamilton, Stroud resident, was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma on February 26, 1935 and departed this life on Wednesday, April 4, 2007, at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 72 years. Betty was the daughter of William Henry and Minnie Gokey Abney. Betty was a resident of Stroud area all of her life, Betty married Elton Hamilton on February 11, 1952 in Cushing, Oklahoma. They owned and operated the Hamilton Speedaway Convenience Store in Stroud for many years. She was a loving mother, housewife, and Nanny and was a member of the Only Way Baptist Church in North of Stroud. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and two sisters. Survivors include, Husband, Elton Hamilton of the home, Three sons, Danny Hamilton of Stroud, OK, Ronnie Hamilton of Stroud, OK, Terry Hamilton of Cushing, OK, Four daughters, Sandra Gilmore of Stroud, OK, LaDonna Hamilton of Stroud, OK, Linda Smith of Stroud, OK, Tammy Malicoate of Stroud, OK, Two brothers & sister-in-law Don & Mary Abney of Davenport, OK, Pat William of Stroud, OK, Eleven Grandchildren, Many Nieces and Nephews, Other relatives and friends.
