Betty G. Davenport

Betty G. Davenport was born on September 13, 1936, in Thief River Falls, MN, and departed this life on Tuesday, February 22, 2011, in Meeker, OK, at the age of 74 years. Betty, the daughter of Ernest and Gladys (Qual) Ballingrud, was a resident of Chandler. She left Minnesota as a teen and moved to California to complete high school. In 1971 Betty and her kids married Wayne Davenport then moved to Chandler Oklahoma. She worked in the Chandler School system and then in the Lincoln County Clerk's office for many years. After Mr. Davenports death Betty married Charles Rains in 2006. She was a member of the Church of the First Born in Chandler. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother. Survivors include husband, Charles Rains, one son and daughter-in-law, Rocky & Debbie Francen of Woodstock GA, two daughters, Shelly Valadez of Moore, OK, Kelly Francen of Chandler, OK., one brother, Milo Ballingrud of Thief River Falls, MN, four sisters, Dona Aase of Roseville, MN, Ruth Carpenter of Riverside, CA, Arden Solheim of Thief River Falls, MN, Susan LaFontaine of Tucson, AZ, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
