Betty Ann Rackley

Betty Ann Rackley, long-time Chandler, Oklahoma, resident was born February 23, 1929, in Chandler, Oklahoma. She departed this life on February 23, 2018, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, at the age of 89 years. Betty was the daughter of Frank and Faye (Reid) Mattheyer. She grew up and attended school in Chandler, graduating in the Class of 1947. Betty married Dennis Lee Rackley on June 21, 1948, in Ada, Oklahoma. Over the years she worked at Anthony's Department Store, Sharpe's Department Store, and Wal-Mart. Her hobbies included traveling, playing the piano, and playing dominoes. She loved planting flowers and watching them grow. Betty was a long-time member of the Chandler First Baptist Church. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Betty's parents, Frank and Faye; husband, Dennis; one daughter, Cindy, and one sister-in-law, Betty Mattheyer preceded her in death. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Paul and Debbie Rackley of Durant, Oklahoma, Mark and Karen Rackley of Cushing, Oklahoma; one brother, Kenneth Lee Mattheyer Sr. of Marshall, Texas; ten grandchildren, Danell, David, Dustin, Jarrod, Anna, Angela, Autumn, Tyler, Zach, and Orion; ten great-grandchildren, Kelson, Luke, Bailee, Cash, Hayden, Eli, Kylee, Baylin, Mckenzie, and Ethan; one great-great-grandson, Hunter; numerous nieces and nephews other relatives and many friends. The Rackley family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 27, 2018, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Chandler. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, February 28, 2018, at the Chandler First Baptist Church with Brother Kirk Holloway officiating. Burial will follow at Rossville Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler, Oklahoma.
