Bertha Mae Diehl

Bertha Mae Diehl, Choctaw, Oklahoma , resident was born February 28, 1933, in Laurel, Maryland, and departed this life April 12, 2017, in Jones, Oklahoma, at the age of 84 years. Bertha was the daughter of Asa Bird and Jane E. (Stone) Gardiner. She married Walter Wilhelm Diehl on May 11, 1961 in Maryland and was a home maker. Her parents, husband Walter, one son, Howard; one daughter, Kimberly; and one granddaughter Aubrey preceded Bertha in death. Survivors include, two sons, Jack Diehl of Sioux Falls, SD, Donald Diehl of Port Lavaca, Texas. Two daughters, Anna Keelean of Chandler, Oklahoma, Teresa Micheau of Glen Rock, Pennsylvania. Two brothers, Donald Gardiner of Delaware and Asa Gardiner of Virginia. One sister, Jane Lochte of Maryland. Eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild. Other relatives and many friends. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, May 15, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at the First United Methodist Church in Chandler, Oklahoma with Rev. Allen Carson officiating. .
