Bernice Dewitt

January 13, 1934 — November 5, 2022

Bernice (Messer) DeWitt went to be with her Lord on November 5, 2022. She was born January 13, 1934 to Lew and Elizabeth Messer in Kendrick, OK.

During her youth, Bernice attended and graduated Kendrick Public Schools. Bernice went on to community college and received a certificate in transcribing. She worked for years in the office of several trucking companies. She was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church in Cushing for many years and was a part of their auxiliary. Bernice was also a very active member of the American Legion.

During Bernice’s free time she loved dancing. She also enjoyed quilting and sewing. Bernice was a very Godly woman who loved her church. She was a kind, caring and sweet woman who would do anything to help anyone. Sometimes a bit stubborn but always wanting the best for everyone.

Bernice is survived by one daughter Rhonda Mitchell, granddaughters Tayla Medlin, Danielle Medlin, and Haley Butler; great grandchildren Bailee, Logan, Elara, Theia, Ayla, Lyla and Bobby; as well as many extended family and friends.
