Bernard Irvin Webb was born on August 2, 1918, in Meeker, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Monday, July 26, 2010, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, at the age of 91. Bernard, the son of John Jack and Martha (Bingham) Webb, was a life-long resident of Meeker. He proudly served his country in the Army Air Force during World War II. He married Jennie Elizabeth Stearman on December 13, 1943, in Fresno, California. After the service, Bernard worked for Tinker Air Force Base where he retired. Jennie preceded him in death on March 1, 2002. His parents; four brothers, Ted, Ralph, Jack and Frank; three sisters, Twyla Kinnett, Nina Lowe and Joan Risher, also preceded Bernard in death. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Jean Webb of Meeker; grandsons, Jeremy Webb and his wife, Cara, of Jenks, Jason Webb of Jacksonville, Texas; one great-grandchild on the way; sister, Edna Sears of Las Vegas Nevada; a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Viewing and visitation will be the Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Meeker on Tuesday, July 27, 2010, from 12:00 noon until 8:00 PM. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at 10:00 AM, at Jamison Cemetery in Meeker with Rev. Joe Jones officiating. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
