Barbara Marie Murray

Barbara Marie Murray, age 86, of Harrah, OK, was born on May 23, 1922, in Winona, Minnesota. She was the daughter of William John & Grace May Atwood Ctibor. She left this life on December 6, 2008, in Midwest City, OK. Barbara graduated from Winona High School in Winona, MN. She married Rayford Noah Murray on April 2, 1947 in Los Angeles, California. Barbara worked at Seikel''s and Drew Hardware in Harrah for many years. After her husband passed away, she moved to Collinsville, Texas where she was a member of the Senior Citizens Board in charge of Hospitality, the Women''s Club and Extension Homemakers. Barbara made her profession of faith in Christ early in life, was very active in her church and was the secretary of the Adult 3 Sunday school class. Barbara enjoyed crafts, knitting quilting, sweatshirt decorating and dearly loved people. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, two brothers and one sister. Survivors include 3 daughters & sons-in-law, Dianne & James Jarvis, Newalla, OK, Carol & Terry Cole, Hartville, MO, Yvonne & David Townsend, Farmersville, TX; 3 brothers, Bill Ctibor, Gilbert, AZ, Bud Ctibor, Tulare, CA, Clarence Ctibor, Carpinteria, CA; 6 grandchildren, Brian & Anna, Christina & Weston, Tanya & Greg, Chris & Heather and Rachel; 5 great-grandchildren, Stephanie, Jacob, James, Noah, and Kourtney and many other relatives and friends. Services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at the Asa Smith Memorial Chapel, Harrah OK, with Pastor Terry Ryles officiating Interment will follow at Memory Lane Cemetery, Harrah, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service, Harrah, OK.
